Inclusive Excellence - Mitigating Bias in the Hiring Process

In this self-paced eLearning course, participants will learn about six different types of bias that often appear during the hiring process and methods for mitigating those biases. This is a required course for any individual planning to serve on a hiring committee in the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine. Post-Test MUST be completed for your participation to be recorded. 

1. Describe bias as it pertains to the hiring process
2. Articulate three ways that bias in the hiring process impacts the COM mission
3. Demonstrate ability to identify bias in the application and interview process
4. Describe methods for addressing and mitigating perceived bias in the hiring process

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received in writing no less than 20 days before the course will be refunded, less a 20% administrative fee. No refunds will be made on cancellations received after that date. Please send cancellation requests to [email protected].
