Overview

This interactive session will provide participants with information on how to integrate tools to transform dense lecture materials into engaging learning experiences for in-person, virtural and eLearning modalities.

The Office of Faculty Development designs and delivers up-to-date content in medical education topics for clinicians who have trainees in structured environments. The aim of these sessions is to promote active learning and engagement, fostering a community of faculty as educators, and improving the overall health of our patients and communities.


Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate implementation of best practices pedagogy in structured/classroom environments.
  2. Demonstrate methods for assessing learners in structured/classroom environments.
  3. Identify the key components of a dense lecture vs. an engaging learning experience.
  4. Integrate tools to transform existing lectures to engaging learning experiences.

Accreditation

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements of the Washington State Medical Association through the joint providership of Providence Health Care and Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine. Providence Health Care is accredited by the WSMA to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Providence Health Care designates this live activity for a maximum of 1.0 CME Hours AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

This activity meets the criteria for up to 1.0 CME Hours hours of Category I CME credit to satisfy the re-licensure requirements of the Washington State Medical Quality Assurance Commission.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received in writing no less than 20 days before the course will be refunded, less a 20% administrative fee. No refunds will be made on cancellations received after that date. Please send cancellation requests to [email protected].
