Overview

Healthcare professionals face growing legal, regulatory, and technological complexities that affect every aspect of patient care. This educational series provides a practical foundation in the legal principles that shape clinical practice, from understanding the sources of healthcare law and the anatomy of a malpractice claim to navigating emerging liability concerns associated with generative AI.

Across three related sessions, participants will explore key intersections between medicine and the law, gain insight into how malpractice cases develop and how risk can be mitigated, and examine the evolving legal challenges created by AI-enabled healthcare technologies. By combining legal concepts with real-world clinical applications, the series equips healthcare professionals with the knowledge and strategies needed to make informed decisions, reduce legal risk, and promote safe, compliant, and high-quality patient care in a rapidly changing healthcare environment.

Learners can attend any or all of the sessions.
