Overview

The Sports Medicine Conference offers health professionals the opportunity to learn about current literature and updates in the fields of orthopedics and sports medicine as they pertain to the needs of the community on the Palouse. The aim of this event is to provide and present evidence-based updates and discuss their practical application to the practice of physicians, certified athletic trainers, physical therapists, strength and conditioning specialists, and other sports medicine healthcare providers. Topics that will be accepted into this one-day weekend event will be presented by community health care professionals that identify a need within the patient population on the Palouse as it pertains to sports medicine. Attendees can expect to attend a full morning of lectures and to participate in discussions regarding evidence-based practice.

A $25 registration fee covers breakfast, refreshments, and CME credits. 100% of the fee goes towards the Regional High School Athletic Training Program.

At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Implement best practice updates in athletic training.
  2. Implement best practice updates in sports nutrition.
  3. Implement best practice updates in primary care sports medicine.
